New Paradigm Shift

New paradigm shift

Trauma is a powerful force that shapes our experiences, beliefs, and behaviours. It can manifest as attachment pain, shame, and powerlessness, leaving deep imprints on our minds and hearts. However, traditional coaching often overlooks these fundamental aspects of our human experience, resulting in incomplete healing and limited growth.

Our approach delves into the core of trauma and its impact on the human mind. We recognise that attachment pain, the deep longing for connection and belonging, is at the heart of our experiences. By exploring and healing these attachment wounds, we pave the way for authentic connections and meaningful relationships.

Shame, another powerful emotion stemming from trauma, often leaves individuals feeling unworthy and disconnected from their true selves. Our coaching methodology addresses shame head-on, providing a safe space for individuals to explore, heal, and transform their relationship with shame. Through self-compassion and self-acceptance, we guide individuals towards embracing their inherent worthiness.

Powerlessness is yet another consequence of trauma that can hinder personal growth. We believe in empowering individuals to reclaim their personal power and rewrite their narratives. By recognising and addressing the impact of powerlessness, we equip individuals with the tools and mindset necessary to step into their authentic power and create positive change in their lives.

At our coaching practice, we believe in the importance of understanding what it truly means to be human in order to effectively guide and support our clients. As humans, we are complex beings with a range of emotions, thoughts, and experiences that shape our lives. It is essential to acknowledge and embrace our humanity, including both our strengths and our vulnerabilities.

One dynamic that we often encounter is the need to let go of unrealistic expectations and societal pressures. Many individuals come to us with a deep sense of inadequacy or a belief that they should have it all figured out. However, we remind our clients that it is okay to be imperfect and to experience moments of uncertainty. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

Another important aspect of being human is the recognition of our limitations. We are not meant to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders. In fact, trying to do so often leads to burnout and a sense of spiritual darkness. As Psalm 55:22 reminds us, "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." By surrendering our burdens to God and seeking His guidance, we can find relief and clarity in navigating life's challenges.

When addressing spiritual darkness, we approach it with compassion and empathy. We understand that it can manifest in various forms, such as doubt, fear, or a sense of spiritual disconnection. Our role is to create a safe space for our clients to explore these feelings and experiences, guided by the comforting words of Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

In our coaching sessions, we encourage our clients to lean on their faith as a source of strength and hope. By deepening their relationship with God and embracing His love and guidance, they can find solace and healing even in the midst of spiritual darkness. We remind our clients of the promise found in Isaiah 41:10, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Our approach to addressing spiritual darkness also involves exploring scripture for guidance and wisdom. We believe that the Bible offers profound insights and teachings that can illuminate the path towards healing and transformation. By integrating scripture into our coaching sessions, we provide our clients with a solid foundation to navigate the challenges and struggles they may be facing. As it is written in Psalm 119:105, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."

In summary, our coaching practice recognises the complexities of being human and the dynamics that shape our experiences. By encouraging our clients to let go of unrealistic expectations and embrace their vulnerabilities, we create a space for growth and healing. When addressing spiritual darkness, we offer empathy, compassion, and a focus on deepening one's relationship with God. Through the power of scripture and the guidance of our faith, we guide our clients towards finding light and hope in the midst of darkness.
